The Pixley Hill Foundation family believes that
every person should have the opportunities and
tools necessary to build stable, fulfilling, and connected lives.

Funding areas

Here are the areas in which we currently fund, along with highlights from some of the organizations we're proud to support.

Reproductive Health

Reproductive healthcare, like all healthcare, should not depend on one’s zip code or income. We believe in securing access to reproductive healthcare, abortion, and improving the infrastructure that makes both possible.

For information on our Reproductive Health portfolio, please contact us.

STEM Education

STEM Education offers an interdisciplinary educational focus to hands-on, real world problem-solving, critical thinking and innovation. We support programs for young people, making sure that opportunities exist in all communities where existing public funding is lacking.

Mental Health

Mental health is health, and we believe care should be accessible to all. We fund both direct services that meet immediate needs and organizations that foster the less tangible but essential conditions – community, connection, and creative freedom – that help people thrive.

Criminal Justice Reform

The constitutional promise of equal protection for everyone is too often unfulfilled. We support research that seeks to better understand the inequities of the current criminal justice system, and initiatives to make it more equitable.

Who We Are

About The Foundation

We are two generations of family members with distinct interests and areas of passion, working together with the shared conviction that important, necessary ideas deserve fast-moving and engaged funders.

Our work is rooted in the belief that everyone should have access to the tools and conditions necessary to build stable and fulfilling lives. In pursuit of this ideal, we support organizations working to remove personal and systemic barriers, as well as programs and initiatives that create quality opportunities for people to thrive.

We back the proven and the promising, funding both established institutions and emerging innovators alike. We love talking with problem-solvers and get excited by organizations that achieve an outsized impact through clarity of focus, ingenuity and grit.
